Dr. Peter Stephenson has played for over 60 years. During his time in the Navy he fronted a band and played jazz organ. His favorite music is early acoustic blues. He has written around 30 songs. He favors interesting/unusual guitars, such as the harp guitar. He also plays a 1971 Martin D12-35 12-string, a Tone Devil gypsy jazz guitar, a Tone Devil custom double neck, and a Martin D28 Retro.
